Last Night at the Opera

Samantha Diamond ( 鉆石) private investigator arrives at an opera house. The electricity is out. A typhoon is raging over the city, preventing police reinforcement from arriving.

Backstage Samantha finds 5 people and discovers the dead body of a man who has clearly been murdered. Recently. The body is still warm.
Samantha has a look around and proceeds to interview the members of the opera troupe.

The Viewer gets to incarnate one of the 5 suspects. they are still wearing their stage costumes.

fusheng (副生): Supporting actor, Laodan (老旦): elder female supporting character, ku dan (苦旦): sorrowful female character, Chou (丑): male jester, and fansheng (反生) supporting male role played by a woman.

Samantha interviews each one of the actors in turn, revealing the character’s relations with the victim and their whereabouts when the man was murdered.

The unfolding story reveals each characters motive, possible method and opportunity. Together the audience discovers who did it and why.

The viewer has the option of experiencing the ongoing interrogation and revelation from the perspective of one of one of the 5 characters.
